Luke Curran Solicitors in Newry recently fought and won a personal injury compensation case on behalf of a retired local farmer who suffered a fall from a height in a farming accident resulting in serious injuries. The Plaintiff was awarded a six-figure sum, even after the complexities of the case meant that he was deemed to have contributed in part to the accident. Even taking this into account, we were still able to secure compensation for our client, which will go towards helping him recover from his injuries as well as making the adaptations necessary to help him go about his life enjoy his well-deserved retirement.
Motor Insurers Bureau MIB Compensate Victim of Untraced Driver for personal injury suffered after originally disputing liability on the grounds that it had not been shown that the loss was incurred by an untraced driver. Upon review and further investigation Luke Curran & Co. were able to speak to the investigating officer and convince the Motor Insurers Bureau MIB that the RTC report was inaccurate. Motor Insurers Bureau MIB admitted liability swiftly thereafter and considered medical evidence for a substantial payment of damages to our satisfied client.

Luke Curran & Co. have completed the purchase of a prominent commercial property in Belfast. Lesley Exchange 1 on East Street comprises c18,260ft2 over five floors and is fully let to the Department of Finance & Personnel from June 2014 – June 2024. Exchange 1 was listed for auction with a maximum reserve of £3.15m. It was agreed for sale by our client after inspection and investigation on title with completion within a short term thereafter. It represents a significant investment in office space letting in the city providing a beneficial yield.
Luke Curran & Co. solicitors specialise in contentious probate matters and have successfully challenged the validity of the last Will and Testament of a Testator in the High Court, Belfast made after medical evidence established that the Testator no longer held testamentary capacity. The last Will left everything to the Testators carer in contradiction to previous Wills which had been made in favour of her siblings and various charities. The matter was brought to our attention by our client who was an aggrieved former beneficiary.
